Katherine Gorringe is a documentary editor whose award-winning documentaries have appeared on Netflix, PBS, and at major film festivals worldwide. Most recently, she edited the three-part documentary series MATTER OF MIND, a co-production of ITVS and Structure Films that was nationally broadcast on PBS’ Independent Lens. The MY PARKINSON’S episode won the Audience Award at San Francisco IndieFest. She recently edited the acclaimed documentary short CAMP WIDOW, which premiered at SXSW and screened at Camden International Film Festival, San Francisco International Film Festival, broadcast nationally on PBS’ Independent Lens.

She co-edited the Emmy-nominated Netflix Original SAVING CAPITALISM with Oscar-nominated filmmaker Sari Gilman, and her directorial feature debut, RED HEAVEN (co-directed with Lauren DeFilippo) premiered at SXSW and screened at numerous festivals, including DOCNYC, Hot Docs, CPH:DOX, and Big Sky Documentary Film Festival, where it won the Big Sky Award.

Katherine was a Contributing Editor at the 2018 Sundance Documentary Edit and Story Labs. Her work has been supported by the Sundance Institute, ITVS, Sandbox Films, Gotham Film and Media Institute, and SFFILM. She has an M.F.A. in Documentary Film & Video from Stanford University.
